Vishaal is Professor of Innovation & Public Policy at RMIT University – where he leads the breakthrough, anti-disciplinary Cisco-RMIT Health Transformation Lab. (Follow RMIT and the RMIT Health Lab on Twitter.) He is also a founder, Deputy CEO and Chief Strategy Officer of The MedTech Actuator – Australia’s National MedTech Catalyst. Vishaal has previously been Deputy Secretary at the Department of Health & Human Services and holds a number of board and advisory positions with innovation agencies, enterprises and venture capital funds. He has held academic and research positions at Harvard and Brown Universities in the United States, as well as at the University of Melbourne and Monash University in Australia. He holds a doctorate from Harvard University, where his work focused on the intersection of law, political economy and socio-political theory.
